Tasting notes: Baglietti No. 10 Prosecco

Baglietti No. 10 Prosecco has a large scent and an elegant dry taste of pears, citrus and almonds. Therefore by allowing the wine to rest on yeast over time, a particularly dry and full flavour is able to evolve. No.10 only uses grapes from the Piave area, which is Baglietti’s most qualitative area in Prosecco. The perfect serving temperature is 6-8°C.

Food:

Enjoy as a pre-dinner or pre-going out drink.

Region/Producer:

At Baglietti it is all about craftsmanship and family tradition. For example, the wine house is known for its high standards and great quality. Every day they work hard to create modern wines without compromising with their legacy. They do what they love and they love what they do. And they make sure that this approach is reflected in every single bottle that leave their house on its way to you.

Making wine is an endless process. It’s all about creating, trying and trying again. So to keep track they use numbers or names to tell them apart. Some bottles are released at once, some never see sunlight and others are kept in small quantities as reference for future releases. The only ones who know what the numbers and names stand for are them. And it will remain that way.

However, legend has it that the wines’ names are inspired by addresses along a certain Treviso village street where important decisions regarding the wine house’ future have been made. One decision at number 5, one at number 6, one at number 7 and another one at number 10.

The Glera grapes are processed with the Martinotti method sparkling process, also known as the Italian method, which will  transform it into one of the most important and good sparkling wines in the world.
