They handpick only the finest oak casks and mature all Raasay spirit in their island warehouses, maximising the influence of their maritime, Hebridean climate on the spirit.
The Producer:
Co-founders Bill Dobbie and Alasdair Day first met in 2013 and formed R&B Distillers with the common goal of building Scotland’s leading artisanal distiller. Focusing on local production, provenance, quality and doing things differently.
By 2015, they had identified the Isle of Raasay as providing the ingredients for the perfect dram, and planning permission to begin work revitalising the Isle of Raasay’s nineteenth century Borodale House into a state-of-the-art distillery, visitor centre, and luxury accommodation was granted in 2016.

Raasay’s landscape is incredible. Much of the geological history of Scotland is here in one form or another. Their decanter-like glass bottle captures this rugged natural beauty. With Raasay’s fossils and rocks moulded into the glass, holding it is like holding a piece of Raasay in your hands no matter where you are in the world. A fusion of tradition with contemporary thinking, process, and design. That’s the Raasay way.
