Try with a variety of Seafood Dishes, great with Prawns and Smoked Salmon. The freshness and beautiful racy acidity makes this a cracking wine to accompany a cheese board.
Region/Producer :
High in the wild rugged terrain of North West Argentina lies the small town of Cachi in Salta. The remote isolated region of NW Argentina is home to the boutique Puna Estate Winery. The wines here are grow at a height of 2600 metres above sea level making them some of the highest vineyards in the world.
The wines produced from these extreme conditions are remarkable. Therefore they show incredible freshness with ultra bright laser focused fruits due do the altitude of the vines and offer an incredible bouquet of wild herbs and floral notes. And they are special wines indeed.
However, this wine cannot be found anywhere else in Europe and is new to our shores. As a result it is only produced in tiny quantities.
Because its location is at such an altitude ensures the wine is ultra fresh with racy acidity to hold this glorious wine together. This is a wine for all red wine lovers and has been awarded 97 points and a Decanter PLATINUM Trophy (June 2022)
