Tasting notes: Three Thieves Pinot Noir
Three Thieves Pinot noir – beautiful violet and fresh cherry aromas lead to raspberry and juicy cherry flavours with hints of berry jam and toasty oak on the palate. This medium bodied Pinot Noir is a generous, fruity wine with silky textures that are balanced by mouth watering acidity. It is the kind of wine that can turn a rough, rugged Thief into a gentleman.
Food match:
Lamb of course, South Asian lightly spiced foods, soft creamy cheeses – and on it’s own.
Producer/Region:
The Three Thieves believe that great wine is not a pleasure reserved for kings, but rather a privilege of life—something for everyone to enjoy. Firstly, they scour the globe to find the very best wines the world has to offer. Secondly, they bring it back to share at a fair and honest price. These ‘Liberators of Fine Wines’ are delighted to present their latest score: a silky-smooth Pinot Noir.
The Thieves believe that a great Pinot Noir is a reward unto itself. However to craft a wine that showcases the varietal’s most beautiful qualities, the wine is gently fermented . And then infused with a touch of French and American oak to lend body and support to the bright cherry and berry flavours. For additional structure, a small amount of Syrah and Petite Verdot were included in the blend.
