Tasting notes: Aquarius Marsanne Viognier
Aquarius Marsanne Viognier. Flavoursome notes of fresh honeysuckle and floral aromas. The Marsanne provides structure whilst the Viognier lends a fragrant carefully balanced punch. Minerally and lean in its youth, it is sure to become a wine of generosity and honeyed complexity with some bottle age.
Food Pairing:
This free spirited wine is a heavenly match with modern Asian food. She also pairs perfectly with anything from the sea. Alternatively, match with a fresh fruit platter and some handmade cheese to blow your mind!
Producer Region:
The fruit was crafted from 70% Marsanne grapes and 30% Viognier grapes, sourced from our Goulburn Valley vineyards in Central Victoria. The individual varieties were harvested separately over a three week period in March. Picking and crushing was completed during the cool of the night to maintain freshness. Fermentation at cool temperatures for 7 days in stainless steel fermenters has helped enhance the pure, fresh, clean flavours.
McPherson’s first established their winery in 1968. in the beautiful hills of the Strathbogie Ranges overlooking the vines that grow the grapes that make our beautiful, elegant wines.
The Central Victorian Winery has a world class bottling facility. they have an amazing ability to make wonderful wines at every level, and continues to amaze us with incredible wines. They keep their wine lots separately throughout fermentation and aging. The final blends are performed right before bottling, once the wines have evolved to reveal all their true character and complexities. The resulting wines are dark and spicy, yet fruit-forward.
